ChopFit is an innovative new fitness program that offers a comprehensive cardio and strength workout routine using the Chopper, a custom fitness product that is designed after a traditional axe. The Chopper has a weighted head and an ergonomic handle to enable comfortable swinging motions that are natural to the human body.
The Chopper adopts a function-forward design that is intuitive and accessible to users of all experience levels. With a carefully selected shade of red, ChopFit steers away from the traditional heteronormative hues and forms found in fitness equipment. The angular design and brightly colored head of the Chopper turns heads when working out and helps promote word-of-mouth awareness of the brand.
Traditional functional fitness equipment, like kettle bells and dumbbells, require the purchase of a full set of multiple weights to get a complete workout. The Chopper works around this requirement by leveraging fundamental principles of physics - with the use of a loaded mass at the end of an arm.
The mass creates a moment along the arm that varies depending on where the user is holding the Chopper. While the over-molded aluminum head on the Chopper weighs 3 lbs, the force experienced by the user varies from 3 lbs to 16 lbs depending on how close to or far from the head the Chopper is gripped.
The head consists of a cast aluminum core that provides the weight and a firm polyurethane over-mold for protection. The handle has a subtle taper for a comfortable grip and is molded out of glass-filled nylon for maximum toughness. It is also over-molded with a textured polyurethane to prevent slippage when swinging during a workout.
The Chopper comes pre-assembled in the box along with a quick start guide which, paired with the accompanying smartphone app, provides all the necessary tools the user needs to adapt to the ChopFit lifestyle. The portability of the Chopper allows the user to travel with it in their gym bag or backpack for a quick workout wherever they are.
